Objectives of the Association

Promotion of Science and Education

  • Organize conferences, seminars, and workshops aimed at popularizing the scientific discoveries made by the Curies and the Joliot-Curies.
  • Implement educational programs for students, thereby fostering the emergence of new scientific vocations.
  • Encourage the participation of young people, especially girls, in scientific and technical fields.

Preservation of Heritage

  • Preserve and enhance historical sites related to the work of the Curies, such as laboratories and family residences.
  • Maintain and enrich archives and documentary collections to provide researchers and the general public with access to valuable resources on the history of science.

Support for Research

  • Offer scholarships and grants for innovative research projects in the fields of physics, chemistry, and biology.
  • Facilitate exchanges and collaborations between researchers through national and international networks.

Scientific Dissemination and Outreach

  • Publish books, articles, and scientific journals to disseminate knowledge and advancements in science.
  • Participate in exhibitions and cultural events to raise public awareness of contemporary and historical scientific issues.


Flagship Activities

The Joliot Curie

The Joliot Curie is a charity run created and developed by the Sports Management department of the Faculty of Sports Sciences, benefiting the Dunes d’espoir association, with the aim of promoting physical activity for all.

The Curie-Joliot Prize

An award given annually to researchers or research teams for their outstanding work in the field of radioactivity and nuclear sciences.


Curie Days

An annual event featuring conferences, workshops, and exhibitions, aimed at honoring the scientific contributions of the Curie family and inspiring new generations of researchers.
